January 2025

It's time for another update on the progress of Tiered Democratic Governance

Good News

For about a month, there has been a small increase in visitors to the website. I've been getting about five new visitors a week. Before, the website was lucky to get one visitor a week. I'm not sure why, but this is progress.

And I sold a TDG book. First sale in almost two years!

And three new email subscribers. Welcome to learning about a new democracy.

Bad News

In the November newsletter, I mentioned a new strategy in promoting the TDG on Medium. I hoping to capitalize on the American election. Maybe a few Americans would finally understand their democracy needed to be replaced. They would take the TDG more seriously, right?

Within a week, my Medium traction dropped by 80%. It seems Medium readers did not like my direct teaching and daily posts. After two months of this strategy, I have cut back my posting on Medium, putting my time into other places.

I was also re-posting these Medium articles on LinkedIn. The LinkedIn algorithms also punished me, but not as bad as the Medium algorithms. And no likes or comments from my LinkedIn network.

I still posting on Mastodon. But I'm not seeing much interest from this forum since I started two years ago.

So I am puzzled by the increase in website traffic.

New News

Two days ago, I joined Substack (another internet forum). I am re-purposing my Medium writing from November 5. I have two articles up. If you are a Substack user, my handles are "Dave Volek" and @TDGinventor. Check me out and subscribe. I am still learning how this forum works, so be patient.

I have about 300 Medium articles already on the TDG blog. With less writing time, I can put up more of my Medium portfolio. Maybe be the end of February, I will be caught up. To understand the TDG better, I recommend reading the section "TDG Mechanics."

Consultation Workshop

I will plug this workshop once again.

For the TDG to succeed, its early builders need to enhance their skills in making consultative decisions. I estimate I have about 200 clips about how to reach such decisions, which are much better than power or democratic decisions. This workshop is something you can take to your family, community, and workplace. Totally free! Take the workshop at your convenience.

Here is the workshop

The Saners

I have joined a climate change activist group. Its founder has some interesting ways to unite climate change activists. I will be using his techniques when the TDG gets a little bigger. Check out www.wearesaners.org. Check out their "green dot" program.
