I wish I had more news to report since last June. I was hoping I would be reporting that my blog is now finished.
I had been working on moving my Medium articles to the TDG Blog. I have 320 articles uploaded so far, with maybe 100 left to go. But other projects and life-in-general are keeping me from finishing this task.
As I’m now looking at this blog, I’m starting to get a sense of what “circular learning” looks like. Basically, a reader can start anywhere in the blog and move from article to article, picking the links that look more interesting. In this way, the reader is enjoying the journey and learning at the same time.
I’m going to direct you to the blog category called “TDG Mechanics.” In this section, there are 15 short articles that quickly describe a feature or two of the TDG. If a reader reads all 15, he/she should have a reasonable concept of how the TDG works. Here is the link to that section:

Last night, I watched the Kamala Harris interview on 60 Minutes. The interviewer really gave her some hard questions, especially what went wrong with the Biden administration. She was defensive, mindful that she cannot afford to alienate voter groups currently supporting her. And she cannot afford to alienate certain political groups that form the power structure in Washington. She skillfully deflected these questions.
My sense of her body language and vocality is that she does not seem confident as she was a few weeks ago. Methinks she has realized the enormity of the job she is about to enter in. And maybe this humbleness will be useful later. I don’t know.
I don’t think there is an individual American that can deal well with the upcoming challenges, including the violence that is likely to erupt after November 5. There are so many people depending on Ms. Harris to deliver, and their expectations will not be met.
And this brings us back to the TDG. American democracy is broken. It is an 19th century tool that is working less and less effectively in the 21st century. There is no American superhero out there.
It is time to stop hoping and wishing American democracy can be fixed. It is time to build the TDG.
