I am always trying new ways to get the message across that our western democracies are broken and beyond repair. We need to stop believing that we can fix things by complaining, blaming, protesting, and voting. We need to stop hoping that the political elite, the wealthy, and the academics are going to fix things.
We average people need to build this new democracy. Not for us, but for the next generations.
Here’s my latest promotion for the TDG. I have added a blog to the TDG website. I am copying most of my written articles to this blog.
My reason for this move is five-fold:
1) There is a risk relying on one internet forum to present and store my work. Rules and circumstances can change quickly. I would have no practical recourse if Medium changed its policies.
2) I wanted to be sure my non-Medium readers have easy access to my work.
3) It is much easier for me to get links from this blog than through Medium.
4) I am posting blog links on Mastodon (a Twitter clone) to drive some visitors to the TDG website. I’ll write an article about this promotion later.
5) If I get an interested visitor to the blog, all the other TDG stuff is readily accessible for that visitor. Medium cannot provide this service.
At this time, I have about 200 articles published on the blog. I think I have another 100 articles to upload, written from mid-2022 to today. It takes me about 15 minutes to copy an article’s text from Medium and reformat it suitable for the blog’s editor.
Soon everything will be in one place. Most of my TDG work will still be on Medium!
