What if a Celebrity Endorsed the TDG?

Waiting for the famous . . .

Getting on Oprah Winfrey’s book club list is a ticket for an author to never need a job again. Royalties from Oprah’s recommendation should set up a writer for life, as long as a moderate lifestyle is taken.

In case you haven’t heard, Oprah has not endorsed my TDG books yet. Unfortunately, Oprah is a busy lady. She probably has 100 literary agents pushing her door down with their clients’ books. I don’t have the connections to get close to Oprah’s door.

But what if Oprah did recommend my book as a possible solution for the USA to get out of the mess it is in?

Would you take my ideas more seriously?

King Charles has had a lifetime of inspiring many good causes. What if he said, “There’s a Dave fellow from Canada who has some interesting ideas on a new democracy!” Would you take a serious look?

I am on the Obama Foundation email list. They keep asking me for money. Sometimes I send a reply email explaining my new democracy to them. Sometimes I invite them to my consultation workshop, where all the youth taking Obama Foundation training could learn about how to make consultative decisions. So far, no replies.

But what if I do manage to get through the gatekeepers and Barrack says “this TDG thing is kind of interesting”? Would you take a look?

How about the entertainment people: Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, or Sandra Bullock?

How about sports figures: Lebron James, Colin Kaepernick, or Connor McDavid?

If you would be more inclined to give the TDG a fair hearing after a celebrity endorses it, why not give that fair hearing now?

· My TDG book is about a three-hour read.

· My three TDG novels tell how average Americans can build this new democracy.

· My website is a free read of these works, plus 500+ Medium articles.

Maybe your TDG building will get Elton John’s attention. If he sees other people working on it, he just might endorse it. With his endorsement, many more people will join. In essence, you influence Elton John by example, and he influences thousands more to join the movement.

In other words, pretend a celebrity or two has endorsed my ideas. Then you can start building the TDG. So, simple, right?

Another angle

Suppose the TDG has grown to 100 local TDGs in the USA and in other places in the world. I am making monthly reports of their progress to the TDG email list.

Each of these TDG has four to eight people, somehow putting the pieces together for their local TDG constitution. If you knew these people were working on their local TDG projects, would that inspire you to also take up a similar challenge?

If “yes,” then I should tell you that these local TDG groups don’t exist yet. If they can inspire you, then maybe you can inspire them.
The alternative . . .

. . . is to hope and wish and wait for our democracies to fix themselves.

How’s that been working for you?
